Re: Martyrs TV
If I click on that line in the first posting (https://www.youtube.com/Martyrstv) I get 'This channel is not available' in a red bar at the top.
However, I had no problem with the link in the other posting and have now subscribed to the channel. But I still get the same result by clicking on that link above.
Does this make sense? It's all a bit too technical for me!

Re: Martyrs TV
Interview good (except Shep not knowing where we signed the new lad from!). Sounds promising in terms of the Newport lads.

shep you put arsene wenger to shame with your interview skills, you commented yesterday that your goal was similar to roberto carlos free kick for brazil a few years ago,i personally think it was better

Great stuff. Again more information and details for the fans. Good news that Greening and Newman, or at least one, could return to Merthyr Town.
Shep v modest about that goal!!!!!!

MARTYRS' TV
Matt's excellent videos have been a real bonus this year, enabling some of our best moments on the field to be enjoyed and savoured time and again. They are a very good advertisement for the quality of football at PP and I wonder if there are ways in which we could encourage them to be seen by a wider audience. to encourage more fans actually to come along? I have no idea how this could be done - could they be screened at local clubs etc? Or could we get them more widely publicised via social media? Or whatever? . I just feel they are too good a resource not to be used to the full for the benefit of the club.

merthyr fc tv
[iI think that if the coverage was put on DVD they could be sold to merthyr fans and make a nice amont for the club, Other sales to other clubs could come with e bay sales . thanks for having such good coverage on the forum

Re: Martyrs TV
Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Truth is I enjoy filming, watching and editing the games. I might be a relatively new face up the Club but everybody has been pretty welcoming and I have a massive interest in the Club now! I'm sure you can understand that the edits and voice over's can take a bit of time but I try my best to get them done asap (Depends on work)
In terms of a DVD, I have looked into it and I can some printed at a good cost. I might try and put it all together and see if it's something we can launch at the start of the new season maybe!?
If you were unaware, we are applying for a "Young roots" grant for Martyrs TV, to give young people the chance gain a recognized media qualification by producing a Heritage Documentary about the Club. This will come with better equipment and software. Pending this all goes to plan out highlights package will be much improved!

Re: Martyrs TV
A DVD would be a great idea if it is economically viable.
Martyrs TV has been a good innovation. When Merthyr Tydfil were in the then Vauxhall Conference, there were regular highlights home and away on an ITV Sunday football prog.
At our current level we don't get any TV or radio exposure (I used to report on the now defunct Valleys Radio for a number of seasons) and are not likely to get it other than if we are in a big FA Cup tie, as with Merthyr Tydfil v Walsall a few years back.
A DVD would give the club a wider audience and be a good souvenir for the loyal fans.

Re: Martyrs TV
Martyrs TV is fantastic, in fairness. Hats off to Matt for the time and effort. It means I've gotten to see much more of the team this season than I would have as I've not been able to make as many games as I would like. Long may it continue.
I was surprised to hear the score of the Taunton match mentioned on BBC Radio Wales on Wednesday morning when I was having breakfast.
