Former Merthyr Tydfil footballer Gavin Chesterfield has signed a new contract to start his 16th season as manager of Barry Town United, who have just been relegated out of the JD Cymru Premier. Long-serving Mike Cosslett,a former defender with Merthyr, will now be the coach after Lee Kendall has been appointed as Barry assisant manager. He is returning to S Wales after one year as goalkeeping coach at Fleetwood, for family reasons.
