Merthyr Board new statement

Following the alleged racist incident in yesterday’s game against Hungerford Town, the Merthyr Town FC Board convened an extraordinary meeting this evening to ensure the matter is addressed – and resolved – as soon as possible.



As a result, legal advice is being sought to ensure that a suitably structured and robust process is followed.



To assist in this approach, the club would welcome written statements or testimonials from any supporter in or around the area where the alleged incident took place, ideally detailing their recollection of events. Please submit any such document to the club via email at:

To reiterate: as a community club, Merthyr Town FC do not tolerate, and condemn in the strongest terms possible, any form of racist or homophobic behaviour.
