Elections for Merthyr Town FC Society Board

The votes cast by members of Merthyr Town FC Society to elect members to the Board were counted today by Councillor Alan Jones and John Strand.



Four members of the Board were required to step down. They were Richard Bennett, Peter Harman, Meurig Price and Len Sankey. They all sought re-election. Also nominated were Les Howells, David Powell and Philip Sweet.



The election was very well supported, with 90% of members casting their votes. All candidates had good support, with no-one receiving votes from less than 25% of those who voted.



The four people elected were Richard Bennett, Peter Harman, Meurig Price and Len Sankey.



The Society Board would like to thank all who were nominated for their interest and their enthusiasm and the large number of members who voted.



All supporters are welcome to join the Society and become shareholders of Merthyr Town Football Club. Membership enables supporters to influence how the club is run and help choose who runs the club.
