CORTEZ INJURY

PORT Talbot have suffered a blow with the news that Cortez Belle has been ruled out for "four to six weeks" with a broken foot sustained in Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at Newtown.

The 29-year-old scored at both ends of the pitch, opening the Steelmen's account with an early penalty, but deflecting a Max Penk cross into his own net late on.

Despite completing the game, X-rays have confirmed that the striker or central defender had broken his foot in a tackle early in the game and the injury has now been placed in plaster.

Belle was a summer 2011 signing for Talbot boss Mark Jones, who says: "He has been a great player for the club since his arrival and will be a big miss for us."
