I feel sorry for Cortez. His problems seem to me to stem from over-enthusiasm and over-commitment rather than malice and disrespect, and are compounded by his size. He has always given 100% but his reputation now precedes him and officials seem only too ready to put him under close scrutiny and punish him when another player might just get a quiet word. This, in turn, infuriates him and matters are made worse. I'd be pleased to see him back at PP, preferably after something like an anger-management course that might help him be more self-aware - that might also get officials to lay off him and give him a chance.

There were three yellow cards shown at Saturday's game against Odd Down. I'm sure that two of them would have earned Cortez a straight red.
