Re: Players Depart
Let us not worry who departs. Only those who remain and arrive. The best signing so far is our manager.

Re: Players Depart
It's bound to be disappointing to lose players whom we have admired and appreciated and who have served the club well, but the lure of more money and the chance to play at a higher level are understandable reasons.
It's also frustrating when we are eagerly awaiting the new season and keen to see what new players will be coming in. We have to keep in mind, though, that every departure creates an opportunity to bring in players with the quality and experience to help take us a step further than last season. I'm confident that the manager has the patience, experience and connections necessary to bring in the right people within the framework of financial stability that to so vital to a club like ours.

'Plod'ding along nicely
Wise words Ownes....being ex-Constabulary you already know the importance of having a good Guvnor or Ma'am at the helm to provide direction and guidance for the rank and file.
Players play, Managers manage and Fans keep you cool in the Summer.
As you correctly state, now is not the time to panic- new cadets emerge to replace the old guard both on and off the field.
Change is inevitable and an essential reason why the World keeps turning.
With a new season comes optimism and a 'new hope'.
May the 'Force' be with us.
Roll on the friendlies....I am fed up of gardening in the rain....

I left the service a while ago. Medical innuendos are more appropriate. How is that for a big word.

I always wanted to be a Police Officer but I was only 4ft 11inchs tall and took size 3 in men's shoes.I went to try and get an interview when Boz and Mr Owens were playing football in the infants school yard.I was told to try Aintree they were looking for apprentice jockeys up there .

Dances with Police Horses.
Well Geronimo,
If you really are below 5 foot tall then you can't have got many scalps.
Perhaps the odd chest wig or too but that would have been it.
Besides why would you want to be a Policeman if your parents were married?
Better off sticking to that 'Firewater' ( Red Rum) and riding bareback then joining the 'Mounties'.
