Todays Attendance

Apart from the Football Conference, the attendance today of 1070 was only bettered by Barrow & Stockport in the Conference North. FC United of Manchester in the Evo-Stik Premier & Maidstone United in the Ryman Premier.

In fact, todays crowd was larger than Conference National sides, Braintree (468) and Gateshead(1047)!

The Southern League website gives the attendance as 1017 not 1070. Could someone confirm which is correct?

I counted them Imp....Regrettably I was on 1016 and then saw the Roving Sheep and fell asleep....Boz

My original post was made before the SL website results appeared. The figure I gave was what I heard announced at the game. It might well be that I mis-heard and the attendance was 1017 and not 1070 as previously quoted.

To further confuse the issue, the results page on Taunton's web site say that the attendance was 1070.
There's also a post by Nathan Evans on Merthyr's Twitter page that says it was 1070.
Perhaps somebody from the club can clear up the confusion.

The crowd reported on the southern league site is based on that reported by our sec so can usally be relied on as accurate

Biggest crowd in this division in 6 years if Wikipedia is to be believed. Going by your playoff crowd you'll comfortably top that later in the season.

Only a Merthyr fan would have doubts now. I'm just hoping you have a tactical draw or two so you can save the title triumph for the Easter weekend.
