If we were to beat Tonbridge we'd be away to Dartford (Blue Square Premier) in the Second Round on 15th December.

Pitch looking all-right today, chairman Meurig Price has stated. So from all accounts, the game will be ON tomorrow unless there is more rain.
Time for the Martyrs fans to roll up to Penydarren Park and urge on The Martyrs to a win over a side two levels above us. YOUR club needs you!!

I'm sure Tonbridge can be beaten, but an away trip to Dartford isn't much of an incentive. They are doing quite well in the Conference Premier but averaging gates of only 1,348 for league games. Still, a home tie against Hereford or Wrexham would have been too much to hope for.

If Merthyr beat Tonbridge, it's £5,000 for the club. I won't worry too much about Dartford.

FA Trophy Draw Empty Merthyr v to bridge

Shame we didn't have the 3 g pitch already....we could have beaten the weather already and ton bridge and been on our way to the dart ford tunnel. Fixture congestion and the tropical weather have cost glamorgan cricket club numerous county championships. .never mind lets hope our players have their wet weather studs in. Who said webbed feet in Merthyr wasn't an advantage. Cmon the town. Boz 1964
