Volunteer wanted to help blind visiting supporter
We have a blind groundhopping supporter visiting us to attend the game v Met Police on Sat 29 Oct.
He would like someone to watch the game and describe the action.
If you fancy being John Motson (with an audience of one), please email strandmartyr@gmail.com

Volunteer Wanted
Allan Jones has kindly offered to volunteer. The man is coming from Felixstowe and stayed in Merthyr Tdfil last night. He is travelling alone. After the game he has to get to Pontypridd as there aren't any trains between Merthyr and Ponty atm because of work on the Metro. Then he has to get to Cardiff, train to London and home from there. Probably get home very late. Felixstowe is 116kn northeast of London! Football dedication..

Re: Volunteer wanted to help blind visiting supporter
A very big thank you to Allan Jones and David Powell for welcoming and looking after our blind visitor, John Stanscombe, yesterday. He had travelled all the way from Lowestoft to Merthyr to attend the Merthyr Saints v Penydarren match on Friday and the Martyrs game yesterday. A remarkable person who has visited over 1700 grounds in 16 years since he completely lost his sight. Immediately after the game Allan took him to Merthyr Railway Station to begin a six-leg journey home.
