Yet another one departs
Merthyr Town Football Club can announce the departure of forward Ian Traylor.
Speaking on his departure, manager Gavin Williams said: “I’m absolutely gutted to lose a player of his quality. He is a natural goal scorer and a fantastic player. He will go down as one of the best players in the clubs history and I would like to thank him for everything he has done for the football club”.
The club would also like to thank Traylor for his services at the club and wish him well for the future.
Apparently he's joined Penybont.

Sad for the club but inevitable. I saw his quality when watched him several times at Pontypridd years back and informed Merthyr club. We eventually signed him after he first had a spell with Cwmaman.
I am sure Traylor feels it is time to move on after three difficult financial seasons at Merthyr.
Penybont are ambitious at their level. I am sure he will do well there.
Where this leaves The Martyrs who knows??
