DIDCOT V HEREFORD
Anybody know what happened yesterday. The game was abandoned towards the end, looks pretty serious as Hereford are making NO COMMENT and will issue a statement?.

Re: DIDCOT V HEREFORD
Apparently what happened was Mike Symons put Hereford 2-1 up after 87 minutes. A Hereford 'supporter' then went onto the pitch to confront the Didcot goalkeeper, pushing him in the chest. Another Didcot player then pushed the 'supporter' back towards the fence and this led to a pitch invasion by Hereford 'supporters' and a general free-for-all between spectators and players from both sides. The referee then abandoned the game due to the chaos on the pitch.
Both sides had been playing with ten men, Ryan Green having been sent off for Hereford early on with Peter Beadle being sent to the stands. In the second half a Didcot player was also sent off.

Ownes,
Sounds like there was a 'signal failure' at Didcot when Green turned straight to Red.
Sad events really as we have played both teams in recent years and had a decent welcome from both sets of fans when we have been away.
Fans do get wound up easily especially when raised on cider and train diesel fumes do have a strange effect on some.
Let's hope the Clubs can get rid of the troublemakers who are not needed at any level but especially when it comes to Non-League as this is usually a great bastion of fun from fan-run clubs with the sporting 'best team won on the day' ethos.
