FT Merthyr Town 0 Poole Town 2.  Two  second-half goals inflict another home defeat for The Martyrs..Attendance  528, Merthyr created most of the first half chances but failed to score. Corners were poor for Martyrs. Poole sub sent off late in game.
Merthyr last won a home league game late in August- versus Sholing.
Gate has dropped by almost 50 per cent from the Tuesday home win over Tiverton Town early in the season.

Like the majority of supporters that left PP tonight, I am totally baffled, witnessing another home defeat. Obviously, we were all feeling a bit down, but also down, (just looking around the stands) seemed to be the attendance, which will also be of concern. Admittedly, the away ‘keeper had a very good game, but we lost to another one of our ‘bogey’ sides. I don’t think we’ve beaten Poole since 2015 and that was a FA Trophy tie.With the suspension of Alex John looming and recent departure of Jack Evans, looks like we’re going to have a tough time in the middle of the park. Unbelievable the turnaround in football/results in just a couple of days. On a plus side, Walton & Hersham lost 1-2 at Winchester.
