Hendon are 13th in the table with four wins, seven draws and three defeats. They have scored 22 goals and conceded 22. Merthyr are still unbeaten away in the league. Not sure about the weather at present and whether there may be a postponement.
Merthyr are fifth in the table.

Hopefully, the game will be played on their 3G surface and our excellent away league record will extend. If the poor weather conditions continue, I doubt if many games that are due to be played on grass, will go ahead elsewhere. More importantly, we need to get our season back on track, as far as the league is concerned. If the game does go ahead, I expect us to continue with our ‘counter attacking’ system, but as we’ve witnessed again this season, the same set up has let us down at home. We must learn to have more control and composure, and try to manage the games better, whoever the opposition. Easier said than done I admit, but have we really learned anything from last season?

Hendon supporter here. You were almost untouchable for the first 30 minutes but actually it didn’t look like there was a goal coming. Is this a thing with three defeats in a row now? Aussie keeper was at fault for the goal but came to the rescue a few times in the second half, especially a brilliant save from our left back who had scored in the previous three games. By the end Merthyr were out of energy and ideas. We’re humble mid-table but that’s a great improvement on last season, and we almost always beat Merthyr. Iechyd da!

Welcome Dessie…. Although it was our first away league defeat, (it has been coming) unfortunately, we carried our home performances in to today’s game. We do play some good football for 30 mins. without really hurting opponents in the final third, then teams add an extra man in midfield to combat what we have to offer, then we are bereft of ideas and obviously no Plan B to follow and heads drop. Even for your goal, even on 42 mins. our players were just watching and waiting for someone else to put a foot in and the willingness and urgency wasn’t there.
I think we shocked ourselves at our early form and results, but not being able to change our ‘one dimensional, counter attacking’ system, we are continuing to get caught out. The management has tried to tweak a few areas, but there hasn’t been many, if any improvements of note. They have a target of a play off place, but even at this stage of proceedings, things and personnel will have to improve drastically, if they want to achieve their aim.
You were well on top for the majority of the game and worthy winners and must be wondering how you only won 1-0. As for our ‘keeper, he does have his moments of madness, but does make up for them, as proved today. In fact, he carried the team.
Thanks again for your thoughts.
