LEWIS POWELL LEAVES MELKSHAM
Lewis Powell’s short term deal with Melksham has come to an abrupt end, after just one game. He has cited, ‘tougher travelling commitments than initially first thought, especially with a young family,’ as his decision to leave. He is now searching for a club closer to home, to help him with his return to full fitness in readiness to return to the Martyr’s squad.
Also, ex-player Curtis Jemmett-Hutson has returned to the Welsh Premier League set up, this time around joining Pontypridd United. Pre-Season he had trial games with Blyth Spartans, but nothing materialised there.

Lewis Powell leaves
FROM MELKSHAM FC- Following last weekends fixtures, Lewis Powell has been recalled by his club @MerthyrTownFC . With no league game this Saturday and an FA Trophy game, the following week, Merthyr have requested his return and didn’t want him to become cup tied. Lewis also found the additional travelling time a huge commitment. We would like to thank Lewis for his contribution over the weekend.

Re: LEWIS POWELL LEAVES MELKSHAM
I believe and has proven himself, that he has played and hopefully continue to play an important part in the Martyr’s plans. He provides a different outlet up front, holding the ball up well and pitches in with fine individual efforts of his own. (eg. Gloucester, FA Cup.) Up to now, our forward players have been virtually free of injuries, but with the Southern League schedule as tough as it gets, I don’t expect we’ll be that lucky from now until April. If injuries do occur, I will look forward to see him and the other injured striker Gethyn Hill, ready for duty.
