U14s and U16s Academy sides progress to knockout stages of FAW Academy Cup
With the Academy League season almost complete both the U14s and U16s sides have seen their good form rewarded with a place in the Academy Cup Quarter Finals.
A top 4 league position ensures qualification for the next round, and as a result of tonight's victory the U16s have ensured their progression. This comes on the same week that the U14s had already ensured a top place finish in the league.
Congratulations to all players, parents and coaches involved, and good luck in the next stage of the competition.
The format of the Academy Cup Quarter finals is as follows:
Northern 1 v Northern 4
Northern 2 v Northern 3
Southern 1 v Southern 4
Southern 2 v Southern 3
The Cup Semi finals are determined by means of an open draw.

Well done to Lee Costa and the U14s players, and Jon Strand Jnr and the U16s players.
Our Academy has produced players and results for a number of years without the benefit of the five figure payments their League of Wales club counterparts receive from UEFA funding that is available to them. The likes of ourselves' and Cambrian & Clydach receive nothing.
Our academy operates on a volunteer basis with parents and coaching staff receiving no money for the time and expense they incur. Well done to Jon Henderson and everyone else involved in that and good luck in the knock out stages.
