Junior Martyrs trip to the Panto
The Club is looking to run a trip to see Peter Pan at Theatr Brycheiniog in Brecon on Friday 2nd December for the 7.00pm show.
A coach has been reserved, we're just waiting for confirmation of the ticket prices.
If you fancy a trip to see the panto please contact me on either wolvesy@yahoo.co.uk or 07900671937 for further information.
We're hoping to confirm everything by tomorrow evening.
Thanks for your support.

Re: Junior Martyrs trip to the Panto
Did you know: the name "Wendy" was made up by JM Barrie for Peter Pan.
Don't we get subjected to enough of a Pantomime at PP?! Soz - coundn't resist!

In fact, I did know that. I can further reveal that he made it up from baby talk for the word 'friend', i.e.:- 'fwendy-wendy'.

According to Wendy.com the name preceded J M Barrie's creation.
May have had Welsh origins - may be short for Gwendoline.

Another illusion shattered! (It appears that its use in 'Peter Pan' only popularised the name).

I thought it came from a song - Wendy blue of the night meets the gold of the day, someone waits for me......
Just a joke, just!

Except we usually tend to hear shouts of 'Man on!' rather than 'He's behind you!'

I know its been a little while since I was last down, however I don't recall the W**k Bank shouting "Man on" since about 1976! "Get him off", "Taxi for <<insert player/manager>>" or "Cr&p" are the more usual - and clean - cat-calls!

A big thank you to everyone who supported the Junior Martyrs trip to the panto tonight.
We took 42 persons to the Theatr Brycheiniog to see Owen Money's Company production of Peter Pan which was excellent.
Everyone enjoyed the evening with every child receiving a selection box as a gift from MTFC.
Owen Money didn't let us down with plenty of mentions of the Junior Martyrs throughout the panto, with even one mention of Meurig Price and Katie Price!, so all in all an enjoyable evening.
We need also to thank Sixty Sixty Coaches for sponsoring the coach tonight and of course to Owen Money for arranging the cut-price tickets for the Junior Martyrs.
