Maybe scope for some speculation in connection with the following which appeared on the FA Rules and Regulations website on 14th February:

INCIDENT OF MISCONDUCT IN RELATION TO BETTING
Elliot Richards, Player, Merthyr Town FC

Breach of FA Rule E8 - Misconduct under FA Rule E1(b) in respect of 32 bets placed on football matches between 19 November 2016 to 10 December 2021.

The Participant has until 17 February 2022 to provide a response.
