ROBBIE HERRERA HEAD COACH AT DORCHESTER In December 2005, Robbie Herrera joined Leroy Rosenior's Merthyr Tydfil, moving on to Taunton Town, managed by former Torquay player Russell Musker in August 2002. He left Taunton in the summer of 2003 to join Bideford, managed by another former Torquay player Sean William Joyce.
In March 2006 he joined another North Devon side Torrington, taking over as player-manager the following month. Herrera resigned in February 2007 after a 7–0 defeat against Melksham Town,[7] and returned to Bideford as a player only.

MERTHYR vs Dorchester
According to the forecast, there is a 100% chance of heavy rain throughout the duration of tomorrow's game. So I suppose the key question is how quickly and how well the pitch can absorb a sustained downpour, particularly if there has been prolonged rain beforehand. .

I don't think SOUTHERN LEAGUE games can be postponed in advance of bad weather expected.
If the pitch is playable, the game has to start, unless there are off-field issues re safety, no electricity etc.I can recall only one game abandoned mainly because heavy rain made it imposible to see, rather than the pitch condition- at WYCOMBE when the players were taken off for a while only for the referee to later abandon the game as conditions didn't improve. But the pitch was bad as a result anyway.
The 3G PITCH should fare better than most but even that could be badly affected in very heavy rain over a short spell.
In severe gales, games could be abandoned or postponed because of safety issues for players and fans, and if it becomes almost impossible to control the ball. This isn't likely too often.
In most football leagues, games cannot be postponed the previous day because of pitch condition.
A local referee has to inspect on morning of the game so he can decide. The match could still be off if the match referee deems so.
So there could be a risk of an abandonment tomorrow if the bad weather starts from 3pm. Another problem is that with a bad forecast, some fans might stay away, resulting in another poor gate and reduced income.
The fourth-named storm of the 2019-2020 season will hit the country from Saturday morning, bringing strong winds and heavy rain.
Forecasters predict "very heavy rain" will strike areas around the Brecon Beacons from 3pm on Saturday to 3pm on Sunday.
The Met Office said conditions are likely to bring flooding to homes and businesses, causing damage to some buildings. BRITISH WEATHER.....
Winger Tom Blair may return to Dorchester side after a seven game ban.
"It’s a massive game but every game is massive now,” he said. “We have 12 cup finals ahead of us but we still have a chance. Because of where we are it’s in other teams’ hands a bit but anything is possible still.
“I haven’t written us off, none of the players have, not Leigh (Robinson) not Robbie (Herrera) or any of the staff.
“There are still quite a lot of points on offer and with a couple of wins on the bounce we could be right back in it.”
