MERTHYR v Weston
Three points beckoned for Merthyr until a controversial hand-ball decision which left most people baffled six minutes into stoppage time. The experienced Scott Laird, Weston's number two, drilled home the spot-kick past 'keeper Alex Harris. And it was just a point for Merthyr who had deserved more from their battling performance, especially in the second half.
Also controversial was the amount of time added on.
There was a good gate of 492 to see a keenly contested game with play flowing and both sides creating chances.
Ian Traylor broke the deadlock on 70 minutes, bursting through on the right to dispatch the ball into the far corner of the net.
Merthyr were still hit by injuries. They host Gosport on Saturday (3pm).

Can anyone tell us how long Prosser&Hill are going to be out with their injuries,it looks to me we will be struggling without them.I felt we done enough to win the game although we have to be thankful to our keeper with some really good saves.Other missing players injured/holidays ????
