0-0 half time. Some good chances at both ends.

0-0 full time. Disappointing as Bishops Stortford haven't won a game yet this season. Not many chances to score at all. A bad day at the office!

Over four years without a goal-less draw in a home league game and now two in a month.

Re: MERTHYR v Bishops Stortford
All in all, an uninspiring performance yesterday.
We are missing Curtis Macdonald, but the defence was generally solid, though Bishop's Stortford offered little threat.
We had no cutting edge up front. I agree that Fleetwood seemed to be playing out of position and Mo Touray, though a gifted player, doesn't yet seem to have the experience to win the ball in the air with enough consistency or lead the line in the required way - maybe unfair to expect him to at this stage of his career, and anyway he will be gone all too soon? There may be injury issues I don't know about, but it was hard to see why our two proven speed merchants and goal scorers, Traylor and Kerry Morgan, were not brought on until too late in the day.
We seem to be lacking both an effective strike force and creativity in midfield - so we are looking more like a mid-table outfit than play-off contenders. Not taking all three points from a lowly outfit like Bishop's Stortford felt more like a loss than a draw.
I've no doubt that the manager is well aware of the situation and knows what needs to be done - goalless draws can be entertaining, but yesterday's certainly wasn't and not the sort of fare that will attract and retain more supporters.
