Leamington promoted
Despite leading until virtually the 90th minute, and being the better side during the game (yes - honestly), as injury time approached a clear foul in the box brought not only a red card for the Hitchin defender, but ultimately resulted in the equaliser. As ever, the home side then nearly had the chance to win, however extra time prevailed.
With a man advantage Leamington always looked the more likely and, after a the first 15mins of aet remained goalless, they scored what ultimately turned out to be a winner midway through the final half of extra time.
Hitchin nearly managed to wangle another equaliser in the last few minutes of aet injury time, however it wasn't to be.
After the final whistle, a number of home fans did themselves and their club little favours - I can understand the desire to invade the pitch, but why look for trouble when you've won?
Driving home, for some reason 'the life of Brian'.... Can't imagine why!
