Backpass Magazine Issue 18

Excellent article on Bob Latchford in this month's issue of Backpass (The Retro Football Magazine) in the Where Are They Now? section.

A good mention of Merthyr in the piece detailing how he loved it here and enjoyed winning the Welsh Cup and the European matches against Atalanta (despite not playing).

He's now living in a small village called Mauk just south of Nuremberg with his second wife who is German, he is still a patron of the Everton Collection Charitable Trust which is a body responsible for the care of an amazing collection of memorabilia and is work takes him back to Everton a few times a year.

Let's hope we can catch up with him to maybe attend the next Former Players' Day at Penydarren Park.

There's also a piece in the magazine on Bangor City's amazing UEFA exploits in 1962 when they played three matches against Napoli. There's a photograph of the Merthyr team after the home leg v Atalanta included too.
