Re: Boxing Day
1pm is fine by me, besides it gives the players more time to celebrate Xmas with their family.

Re: Boxing Day
I personally would prefer a 3.0 k.o also it give supporters more time from further afield to get to the ground

Re: Boxing Day
And I have no particular preference.
I see that according to the Southern League website (which is probably not up to date as it still gives our kick off time as 3pm) that four of the ten other games also kick off at 1pm.
For some reason Hayes & Yeading are playing their home game on the 27th instead.
Looking ahead, if anyone's wondering, the home game with Redditch on Bank Holiday Monday, 2nd January does kick-off at 3pm.

Re: Boxing Day
Just to add on a historical note, this is the fourth year in a row we've been at home on Boxing Day. Last year it was a 3pm kick-off, and the previous two were both 1pm.

The two 1pm kick-offs were against Cinderford. The 3pm kick-off was against Cirencester.Merthyr Imp wrote:Just to add on a historical note, this is the fourth year in a row we've been at home on Boxing Day. Last year it was a 3pm kick-off, and the previous two were both 1pm.

As long as the 4-4 draw from a few seasons ago doesn't become a tradition!

Related to this fixture, the news is just in that Cinderford have sold top scorer and former Martyrs trialist Gethyn Hill to Weston-Super-Mare.

Cinderford forum saying that they have signed Giles Cutlan from Croesyceilog, oh dear! Last saw Giles playing for Croesy against Abergavenny Town in October he was the size of a bus.
