Re: MERTHYR v Hereford
Good game from what I saw of it as I spent most of the first half arranging for some of my former colleagues to investigate the tax affairs of a well known Martyr from the Midlands.
The only goal I saw was when Kerry was set free on the left and he went past his man and sent in a perfect cross for Traylor to head in from the edge of the 6 yard area and that goal was worth the 7 quid alone.
The rest of the game went with Merthyr having large parts of the game and on the second half performance we deserved more.
Again, a useful run out against a good team who will walk the league they've been placed in for next season.

Any news of the attendance? Hereford sources suggest around 600.

Beadle said the players didn't like the 3G pitch.
"This time of year their feet are on fire because of the rubber crumb. When it's dry the ball doesn't roll or it's not as slick as a grass pitch when it's wet.
"So I thought they aquitted themselves great especially when you're playing a team that have played on it for a full season.

Re: MERTHYR v Hereford
I am sorry o.s.but Sol.is right the 7pound admission for 45 mins of football which we had on Saturday is to much
the second half was a non event because of all the changes made by both teams in the second half.I accept the managers need to make changes to view possible signings but surely that should be taken in to consideration when setting the admission price.Just a thought.

Re: MERTHYR v Hereford
The admission prices were agreed with Hereford and advertised as such prior to the reduction for our other games so we couldn't change it. We now charge £1 for u16's but because the original agreement showed u16's free, again it was something we couldn't change.

Re: MERTHYR v Hereford
I thought the First Half was worth £7.00 on its own...that strike from Sol was a beauty even if it hit the wrong net....and the move from Green to Morgan to Traylor was Barca quality.....friendly or otherwise it was great to watch.....Boz

Yes I realize that but you can see where the original complaints came from and why,and yes it was a good move to change the prices. While I am having a little moan I think the rise in the parking charge from 50 to 70pnd.is a little steep although I have paid, right that's my moan over.

Just spotted this! Us Midlands exiles have to avail ourselves with Accountants (at exorbitant rates) to keep the b****rs off our back!Old Sod wrote:Good game from what I saw of it as I spent most of the first half arranging for some of my former colleagues to investigate the tax affairs of a well known Martyr from the Midlands.
There we are, trying to earn an honest crust...
