UEFA Super Cup Final

Like many other Welsh football fans I attended the UEFA Super Cup Final at Cardiff City Stadium last night. I bought a programme (Well it was more like a magazine!) well worth a fiver IMO.
There was a 3 page feature on Welsh clubs in Europe and yes there was a piece in there about Merthyr's famous victory v Atalanta in the European Cup Winners Cup 87/88 season. There was also a photo of a female Merthyr fan in full regalia (Top hat as well!) unfortunately the name of the lady was not printed. I would rate the win v Atalanta as Merthyr's most famous win - anyone think different? Andy Beattie and the boys from that team will go down in Merthyr's folklore for ever and a day.

The lady in question was Carol Jones the wife of Peter Jones who was a full back in that team

Peter Jones is a regular supporter at the Club and is often at the Home Games....a real Martyr...Boz
