Poole town
Poole are bringing a coach and minibus so far that's a good away following in this league.

Re: Poole town
Looking forward to our trip to the Valleys,a little matter of Paulton on Tues. first to attend to.
In my humble opinion you are the best team we have seen at Tatnum playing with 10 for most of the game and very unlucky to go away with nothing to show for your efforts.Hope the beer is chilled.

I don't know if the coach is for supporters only or whether they will be on the team bus but it seems like we will have a bigger section of away supporters than usual. It promises to be a good encounter. Hope the Poole Town fans enjoy the trip!
I wouldn't like to bet on the outcome of the match!

Some Poole Town fans are backing Yate for the play-offs and even promotion, "although not finishing above them." So the promotion battle is hotting up and Merthyr Town v Poole Town should be a sizzler. Let's get the atmosphere bubbling at Penydarren Park on Saturday.

Lets just do one thing Saturday and Tuesday lets get behind the boys from the minute they set foot on Penydarren Park and not moan at the odd mistake. They play well away when the fans are loud.......LETS BRING BACK THE SUPPORT THAT PUT YEOVIL TO SLEEP WHEN JENKO WAS OUR HERO,THAT OUTSUNG CARDIFF WHEN OUR LEGEND DAI WEBLEY BEAT THEM ALMOST SINGLEHANDED,
WHEN 100 MERTHYR FANS OUTSUNG SWANSEA IN THE WELSH CUP AND WE KNOCKED THEM OUT ON THE VETCH AND FINALLY WHEN NEARLY 10,000 MARTYRS FANS IN 1987 SENT ATALANTA HOME"TA THINK AGAIN".C'mon all you Martyrs out there we need you Saturday and again next Tuesday

As Dubchek says above we're looking forward to an entertaining encounter on Saturday. Sorry we couldn't quite get organised enough to come up on the Friday as planned and beat you play you at pool. Not that we were too scared honest but who knows what rules you would play by.

Like Dubchek and Pippa, we are really looking forward to coming across the border for European tour! When the fixtures came out this was the one fixture many of us looked out for. If Saturdays game is half as good as the match at Tatnam then we'll be in for a treat

I second that Tim and a big welcome to all from POOLE and I hope our boys get the support they deserve for their efforts in the last three seasons.

Re: Poole town
We have a mug collector in the club and he's asked me to bring him back a Merthyr mug. Will there be any at the ground tomorrow. He's gutted to be missing the game and I'd hate to go back empty handed. Let's hope the weather is as good there tomorrow as it is here today- bright sun - temperature a balmy 7degrees.

Hopefully someone else will let you know about the mug, but don't forget to take back a copy of the match programme - only £1.50. As for the weather, it tends more often here to be barmy rather than balmy!

Merthyr v Poole
Looking forward to this one. if we play to our potential it will take a good Poole Town side to beat us...
We will have to play like we did against Mangos and Cinderford at home earlier on in the season if we are to get a positive result, if we were away I would fancy us more, but heres to a good game.
I spoke to Chappo when we went down to Poole, bit of a shame we couldnt have arranged something for tonight, maybe there will be scope to do this in the future if indeed we ply our trade in the same division..
I would be more than happy for 500 at PP tomorrow, but you never know with the support at Merthyr it could range from 350 to 750 depending on the game and circumstances, bit early in the season for a 4 figure attendance, so I am going to plump for 459 and a 2-1 win for Martyrs..
See you all there..!!!!

Various score predictions on the Poole Town FC Fans Forum. I would guess a score draw would be a good bet on a Pools coupon.
As to the attendance, I would love to see more, but 353 is my estimate!

Poole town
It is nice to see other fans from other clubs guesting on the forum....poole-ing resources if you like...I am sure they will get a warm welcome whatever the result and they will find that there is a welcome in the hillsides. I hope that we get the right result that keeps all football fans on the edge of their plastic seating till the last game of the season. Tomorrow is a crunch game but as long as there is good football on the pitch and a non-whistleblower that allows the game to flow for the sake of the spectators 7 - 6 would be fine by me...and a home win of course...boz

If you are on those seats in the section of the stand which don't have any backs, don't lean back!
