Garry Shephard was unable to attend last night's game at Corsham, because his wife had undergone a serious operation in the previous 24 hours. He did not miss the game through injury. If he had done so. he would have attended the game.

I'm sure we all wish Shep's wife a speedy recovery and future good health - a timely reminder that there are some things in life even more important than the beautiful game.

Best wishes to Shep's wife from everyone, I am sure.
In fact, in the scheme of things, football is very low in priorities in the world. And too many of us ponder and pontificate ALL week over what amounts to just 90 minutes, or 180 minutes of football if there is a midweek match.
I think the fans spend more time fretting over football than the management or players do as they have their own priorities.
Those who post here are obviously football fans and enjoy supporting their team but at the end of the day it is all ephemeral.
