WELL DONE KIERON AND OWEN
MERTHYR Town’s youth team captain Owen Davies has been selected for the Wales under-18 semi-professional team.
They play the Republic of Ireland in Wexford next Wednesday, February 15 (7.30pm).
The Martyrs have also had Kieron Harman named in the Welsh Schoolboy under-18 squad for the Centenary Shield warm-up game against the English Public Schools at The New Saints FC next Sunday.
Former Cardiff City defender Terry Boyle is in charge of the Wales semi-professional squad for their match against Ireland at Ferrycarrig Park, Wexford.
MacWhirter Welsh League Taffs Well have two players, Kieron Joseph and Clayton Green, in the party travelling to Wexford. This will be the second time the sides have met at this level. The first game was at Holyhead at the start of this season when the visitors won 2-0.
Wales under-18 squad: John Dowd (Llandudno), Jack Hughes (Newport YMCA), John Gruffydd (Caernarfon Town), Jordan Beck (Gap Connah’s Quay), Daniel Gibbons (Rhos Aelwyd), Tom Kemp (Prestatyn Town), Shaun Tinsley (Gap Connah's Quay), James Stead (Rhyl), Jamie McDaid (Caernarfon Town), Josh Davies (Ruthin Town), Ryan Morgan (Port Talbot Town), Kyle Cockins (Neath), Ashleigh Curtis (West End), Kieron Joseph (Taffs Well), Clayton Green (Taffs Well), Alex Samuel (Aberystwyth Town), Owen Davies (Merthyr Town), Curtis Hudson (Port Talbot Town).

Owen had a wonderful experience out in Ireland and played a good 30 mins off the bench.
