A true merthyr town fan , dai miles died today at age of 90

That's really sad news. I remember Dai & his wife serving in the old tea hut @ PP. He was on the board at one time and always worked tirelessly for the club - the last time I saw him he was selling Soccalot tickets. It's a shame he couldn't have seen his last game at Penydarren Park. If anyone deserves a minutes silence at the next home game it's Dai.

very sad news ,He was one of our finest supporters and worked hard for the club even up to recent weeks.even though his eye sight was failing he still struggled to support us at taffs well.will be sadly missed

I only became acqainted with Dave Miles in the last few years, particularly while I was selling programmes for a couple of years at the park. He always made a point of coming down to the gate from the car park to catch up on the gossip and give the benefit of his experience.

He was obviously a great servant to the club for many years and was still fund raising to the end.

He is an example to us all of what loyalty to this club means.

Dai was Merthyr through and through,very sad deepest sympathy to his family.I met him first in Kaysor Bondor 51 yrs ago even then he was always selling tickets and raising funds for the Club.

it is very sad to hear of his death,i dont think i have met anyone as commited to merthyr football club as dai.miles it was a pleasure to have known dai and his family for many years.he was one of those people who had the football club running through his veins.my scincere condolences to his family.r.i.p.in dai.

Dave's funeral will take place on Friday 28th January at 1pm at St.Johns Church Cefn Coed and then 2pm Llwydcoed Crematorium.

Rest in peace. Hopefully a win today in his memory being just a day after the funeral
