Chesham v Merthyr
Manager Paul Michael hopes that Kieran Evans will be back in the squad for Tuesday night., Adam Davies (ankle) and Matthew Harris (calf) were among current injuries. Lewis Powell was on the bench on Saturday after being ill during the week.
Jack Evans got up at 4am on Saturday to fly from France to play for Merthyr.
Ricardo Rees will have treatment on his nose to see if he can play at Chesham,
Michael praised Rees for the way he got his goal, and Tom Handley who was playing in a different roie, right wing. The stop spot-kick by Cogman was a key moment, said the manager.
He felt that they weren't the better team after being under a lot of pressure but often in games they had been in the ascendancy only to find themselves behind. So he was "delighted with the win."

Tom Handley puts Merthyr one up on two minutes. Kieran Evans and Adam Davies back in starting line-up. 25 mins 2-0 Owen Brain gets his first goal for Merthyr. 58 mins Nick Rhodes own goal helps Chesham pull back, 71 mins a good strike but Fuller equal to it and saves. Powell for Brain, Yakubu for Rees. Chesham pressed near end. FT Chesham 1 Merthyr 2

Re: Chesham v Merthyr
Fantastic effort from the whole squad/management over the last two away games, (16 hours travelling time alone) collecting a much deserved six points. Against all the odds, especially going to play off contenders Chesham, with at least a handful of changes from last Saturday’s win at Harrow, shows how far we’ve come in a short period of time. As the manager stated recently, ‘the objective has been achieved for this season.’ So, well done to all involved with the club in giving us a breath of fresh air and hopefully a solid platform to build on.
