Met Police On Way

Will Merthyr make it third time lucky on Saturday when they are on duty to Met Police? This will be only The Martyrs' third league home match this season and the other two, early on, were lost to Bracknell and Poole.
The prospect of three successive home matches for Merthyr provided the prospect of a chance to boost the league position from games in hand. But so far it has been one point.
Met have won six league games, drawn one, lost five, with 24 goals for and 22 conceded. It will be another tough encounter and the result may depend on the players Merthyr have available,
Some thoughts might be on the FA Cup tie with Buxton as the tickets go on general sale. But for Saturday a win is needed,
The manager's post-match comments have always been realistic.

Sorry to correct you Tim, but the game against Met Police will be our 7th home game. The others were, Bracknell, Tiverton, Poole, Winchester, Harrow and Dorchester.

Sorry, I meant to say it will be their fourth home game ON A SATURDAY. (Third was wrong). Bracknell and Poole and Harrow  were on Saturdays and the others were midweek.

They’ll be coming thick and fast soon, with our games in hand.

Chesham, due for next Tuesday, now been postponed, of course, because Merthyr need more time to prepare for Buxton.
