FA Cup Draw
FROM TRURO CITY WESITE. City make the trip to Wales on Saturday 3rd September looking to progress to the Second Qualifying Round for the fourth season in a row.
The White Tigers beat Exmouth Town at Bolitho Park at this stage last season before being knocked out in the next round by National League South side Hungerford Town.
This will be the first of two fixtures against the Martyrs in the space of 7 days with a league fixture scheduled for the weekend after on Saturday 10th September.
Speaking on the draw Manager Paul Wotton said; “It’s a rubbish tie for us. It’s not ideal at all.
"Being away to Merthyr two Saturdays on the spin is tough but it is what it is.
He continued; "It’s far from the ideal tie. If we weren’t playing them in the league the week after it wouldn’t be so bad but playing them twice in seven days away from home is like I said far from ideal.
"Merthyr is always a tough game, but we like playing on their pitch. It’s a beautiful surface. We’ll go there and give it a go and see what happens."

FA Cup Draw
We might have hoped for an easier tie, but at least it's at home, and recent performances give us good grounds for optimism.

Re: FA Cup draw
At least it wasn't a club from a lower level, as I can't recall us beating a team from a division below for a while. Plymouth Parkway, Hamworthy & Winchester spring to mind.
