BLACKFIELD AND LANGLEY V MERTHYR TOWN
The club is near Southampton. They are 17th in the table with 31 points from 29 games.Eight wins, seven draws and 14 defeats. Merthyr are 14th with 35points from 27 games.Nine wins, eight draws and 10 defeats.
Blackfield are poorly supported, and their website doesn't seem to have been updated this year so no recent news available.

HT 0-0. Jarrad Wright missed the best chance for Merthyr from Yakubu.

Re: BLACKFIELD AND LANGLEY V MERTHYR TOWN
A generally poor game on the South Coast played out in front of a crowd of 112 with around 25 Martyrs in attendance and 1 dog a 13 year old terrier called Tuffey. Ground standard generally poor there but a small bar in the ground and no problems with the home support all very welcoming.
Not much to report in essence first half Merthyr looked the better team and came forward but chances were far and few between. The second half levelled out the home keeper was sadly rarely tested and the hosts rattled the post and had nearly got the ball over the line in the following melee.
Heavy pitch as you would expect given recent weather and blustery never going to suit the Martyrs style of pass and move football.
One worry from the afternoon Gethin Hill pulled up and came off towards the end not sure if hamstring or dead leg etc fingers crossed he makes a swift recovery.
