Pitch Inspection

Hastings Twitter saying there are still small areas of standing water on the pitch, so an inspection will be needed.

Weather not looking good for Hastings area from around 14.00 hours continual rain and high winds !!!!
Need this inspections A S A P If tonight's game is cancelled will the rearranged game be on the following Saturday ????? this would make more sense due to the distance (mid week seems crazy asking a team to travel )
I know rules are rules but a bit of common sense wouldn't go amiss !!!!!!

Even if it is playable now I doubt if it be playable tonight looking at the focus..The wise thing is to have it called off now

Hastings twitter now saying, following a pitch inspection the pitch has been passed fit to play. and Merthyr are travaling.

They seem to think the rain will hold off in Hastings area despite Storm Barney moving into parts of UK today. Would be a travesity of its called off again. Id imagine if they had any element of doubt they wouldnt have just confirmed its on we can only hope.

Nope. It's just started raining. Drizzled for about the last 30 mins but now rain.

I'm in Eastbourne this morning, but that tends to have slightly less rain than Hastings.

This is worse than anything that came down during Saturday's 45 mins.

Good job it wasn't a 3pm kick-off.

Someone on the Hastings forum thinks the rain should stop this afternoon and the amount of wind forecast after that may help dry the pitch!

i have a friend in Hastings and it is pissing down this is crazy

We've now had half an hour of hair-drier wind but little rain, so if it carries on like this we'll probably have a game but a shockingly poor one.

Hope this man is working his best did a sterling effort Saturday.
