Yes I think the current plans will make our ground up to Conference standard, I'm led to believe.

I think it will be for Conference South. Not sure about Conference Premier, although we were told at the meeting the other night that certain aspects satisfy the requirements.

If I remember right the floodlights wouldn't currently be up to Conference Premier standards, but they could easily be upgraded (at a cost of course!).

The floodlights are quite dim one fan from a visiting club the other day wondered if they were on full power Smile

The floodlights had a recorded average lux of 233, when installed.

Conference South requires 180 and conference requires 250.

If I recall correctly it's just a case of adding additional lamps to the existing pylons and there is space for that to be done and again, as far as I'm aware there will be enough electrical capacity for that to be done.  Mind you, talk of Conference National football is a bit pie in the sky at the moment.

That's also what I seem to remember being told by the man from Verde Recreo, the company who installed the lights along with the new pitch.

Come on Guys you should be aiming for League 2, if County can do it.

Aye, but how long did it take you?  We've only been going for less than 5 years and are on schedule.  As I said it is possible to increase the lux should it be necessary.

Does that mean there'll be extra soap in the new toilet facilities?

The new Newport County took 20 years to get to the Conference Premier and 24 years to reach the Football League Two. AS Old Sod says we are on schedule.

I'd be happy with Conference North/or South as our eventual target. Remember it is Progress thro stability, the most important thing is to remain SOLVENT and to achieve the highest standard within that constraint.

Our Directors/Officers, Manager and Players are all doing a superb job contributing to the success of our New Club.

Remember how far we have come in just 5 years and I have no doubt that we will continue to evolve and improve steadily in the years to come and achieve our objective  when the time is right for us as a Football Club.

Onwards and Upwards & let's achieve our objective this season, promotion to the Southern League Premier.

And a Dyson hand dryer as well.  As long as we don't get Alan Freeman advertising OMO we should be OK.  By the way, it won't be lux - more like Wrights Coal Tar Soap.  We have someone in our team who can provide it wholesale!

When I was younger, I was a bit of a tearaway. I was always in trouble with the police and eventually ended up in court for stealing a bar of soap from the local corner shop.
To this day, I can still remember the Judge's words before he passed sentence:
"If you carry on stealing like this my young lad, you will end up in prison for Life Boy". Very Happy
