Ryan Charles

According to his twitter feed, Ryan has taking up an opportunity to play football at a higher level and live back in London

A quality player in my opinion, and was successful for a time for us but didn't really score enough goals (5 in 33 appearances).

Do you know who he has signed for?

Don't know if it is true but I have also heard that Marcus Griffiths, Ryan Newman and Andrew Thomas have also left.

Well since Shep & Danny left the rumour factory has been on overtime!

I was told last week that Charles, Newman and Thomas were leaving, Marcus? that's a new one on me but I was told two other players were leaving too which I believe to be true.

Some of these names were included in the report in the Merthyr Express last week:

'Andrew Thomas has probably finished playing, while Shephard's plans for next season did not include Ryan Charles, Ryan Newman or Aaron Cornwall.'

But the only definite news we've had so far is from Ryan Charles himself that he's left.

Good riddance in my opinion to Charles always seemed to joke around

I would not say he was useless but rather useful particularly when he played in a wide position.Good luck to him

Not a surprise as it is a step up for him but typically he didn't do it in the correct manner. He always seemed to be a player who chased more money, which again you can appreciate but loyalty and courtesy doesn't seem to enter his brain.

constantly joking and messing around sums his career up really.
people might not agree but very average player and sort of our club can do without.

Not Surprised, to me he is not that standard, lower level player

less than 6 months what a joke of a player.
