That sound's positive and hopefully will provide some valuable income into the club.

Stadium sponsorship package? Does anyone else have the feeling that PP will now be known as the Cigg-e stadium?

Re: Fantastic Sponsorship News
If it was would anyone refer to it (other than in an 'official' way) as that - any more than people talk about 'The FA Cup with Budweiser' rather than just the FA Cup?fistral10 wrote:Stadium sponsorship package? Does anyone else have the feeling that PP will now be known as the Cigg-e stadium?
It's not something that bothers me, for that reason.

Interesting. And without wishing to rain on the proverbial parade, may I proffer a note of caution. Whilst its great to see additional income, there hasn’t been the greatest press in this area recently. Are there any termination clauses should this continue? For the avoidance of doubt, I am in no way suggesting any irregularity or blight regarding the organisation, simply the current, relatively negative, media.
Alternatively, maybe Old Sod could get some benefits in kind, and kick his filthy habit!!

On the front cover of tonight's match programme:
'Welcome to the Cigg-E Stadium - home of Merthyr Town FC'
(Obviously that didn't apply to tonight's match, but the programme covers have to do for the whole season)

After yesterdays welcome news of 200 new jobs at E E, is there an opportunity for an extra stadium sponsor. We could be playing at the Cigg-eEE stadium.
