Re: Crowd chanting
Someone had a big drum years ago - when Leroy Rosenior was manager I think.

Re: Crowd chanting
I can play Fields of Athenry on the harmonica, Harry, preferably in key G.

Crowd Chanting
I too can play 'The Fields of Athenry' on the harmonica in either G or C.
But what about vuvuzelas, South Africa-style? See, there are worse things than drums!
When I used to go with my Dad to PP in prehistoric times, wooden rattles were stlil in vogue.

I think I've still got mine at the back of a cupboard somewhere. Partly painted red, though, so wouldn't be appropriate for Penydarren Park.
John Beck encouraged the use of a drum at Lincoln some years ago because it used to irritate the opposition fans and players.

Re: Crowd chanting
We could always do it continental Polish style and get some loud speakers with people leading the chanting lol

Re: Crowd chanting
Key C is too high-pitched on the harmonica!
There used to be someone banging on a drum at PP a number of years ago. Several people in the grandstand were driven to distraction by the incessant noise and stopped supporting the club.

Re: Crowd Chanting
Lets just hope that after a disappointing result at Abingdon, we can still finish high enough to get a home draw. Our home attendances this season are an average of about 100 per game down on last season, I don't understand the reason for this, it could just be down to the bad weather we experienced this winter, or maybe the extra £1 admission has put some people off? Certainly our inconsistent form at home didn't help; I suspect it was probably a combination of all three, but if we are lucky enough to attain a home draw, then we should all try and encourage as many friends, etc, to come and support the Town.
