Player of the year awards
Is there any point in having the contest....the winner has to be mr consistent Gary colbourne...I know it is a secret ballot...but he has been heads and shoulders better than anyone this season...and that is some plaudit as the team has been for the majority of the time....except cinderford at home....brilliant....first amongst equals for me must be Gary 'they shall not pass ' colbourne ....boz

As the official vote counter, along with Mrs OS the winner will remain a secret until the night. Only offers of copious amounts of chips and Bovril (not necessarily in the same vessel) will break my silence.

I think the goalkeeper cutlain should have some award .We must bare in mind he has played every game this season cup and league .Further he probably would have been a backup goalkeeper if Ashley morris had not let us down. He has come in and done a tremendous job for us.

Well said scamp! I think Giles has got better throughout the season, To play every single game is quite astonishing really! I'd much rather have him in goals than Joe last season.

Re: PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDS
Cutlan has done very well, stepping up to this level for the first time.
But I don't think, in my opinion, that we would have signed him as well, if Ashley Morris had returned, and have had two goalkeepers, bit of a luxury! I could be wrong. And I don't think we can say Ashley "let us down"; it's just that he was given a good offer from Bala Town. Money talks when it comes to football, whether at League or non-League level.
There were several other players who would have liked to have signed at the Park in the summer but there was no way we could offer the wages they would have demanded or expected.
Cutlan has had a good season and given a professional display in goals, clearly evaluating his own performance after every match. To play in every game of the season (well, only four games to go) is a good achievement. I wonder how many players in the former Merthyr Tydfil team ever achieved this! I can recall one, going back a long while.

Player of season
It goes without saying files cutlan has been outstanding and whilst I quite liked joe perry....I think gilo has been a real revelation between the sticks in all aspects commanding his area....shot stopping and a booming accurate goal kick....he is also quick of his line.....but Gary colbourne has been outstanding as a centre half .....and scored lots of important goals at the other end.....the new John Charles....the Lisbon lion....the ' pride' of penydarren park....boz
