It makes one wonder how they will survive in the league above.Yet if we played tonight would we have had much of a crowd with man u and real madrid on the telly

This is the problem. Non-League gates at this level are now very low. And as well as the BIG games on TV, usually on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, there is other football on most nights of the week. Merthyr are always looking to increase attendances while most other clubs in our division envy our support!
Welsh League Treharris, bottom of Div 3, get bigger gates than those tonight at Sholing and Swindon Supermarine!

It must be difficult for Supermarine competing for supporters against Swindon Town, as with all towns or cities where there is a big club and a smaller one, but especially where there is such as big gap in status as that one.
