Re: Wimborne v MERTHYR
Perhaps we are tactically wrong at home or the pitch being so uneven it is does not suit our passing game

Re: Wimborne v MERTHYR
Thanks for the updates.
Pity it wasn't a league game, but it's another useful £3,250 in prize money. Next qualifying round is on Saturday 10th November, so the home league match with Sholing will have to be rearranged.
Let's hope for a good draw so we can get through for the chance of meeting a Blue Square Premier club in the First Round Proper,

Re: Wimborne v MERTHYR
Could the Merthyr fans kindly turn out in force for Tuesday's clash with Tiverton. It was disappointing that after beating Abingdon United last Saturday, the gate slumped on the Tuesday for the game with Paulton Rovers by more than 140!We know all the reasons which folk will put forward.
But let's show that the fans are totally behind the club and not some just cherry-picking the games they want to see.
And perhaps today's excellent win in Dorset will stir some interest in The FA Trophy at Merthyr. Progress in the competition means cash and the spotlight. League has the priority, we know, but every Cup encounter realises extra cash that would not have been budgeted for.
As a club without a Mr Money Bags dipping his hands into his coffers, we need all the finances we can get under our fan-based organisation.
Tiverton will be a stern test. Let's get behind the Town and ensure a good attendance despite any counter attractions.
