It's the Supporters' Trust birthday next weekend so it's time for our annual sponsored walk for charity.

This year we'll be supporting the Alzheimer's Society in memory of Lyn Jones.

The walk will start on the morning of Saturday 13th July from the ground of FC Abercwmboi and will cover just over 6 miles in total back to Penydarren Park. It's a much shorter walk than previous years but it will be a steep climb over the mountain from Abernant to Heolgerrig.

There will be a refreshment stop at the Rhos Wenallt pub at the top of Abernant on the way.

Transport will be organised from Penydarren Park over to the starting point and a help car will follow the walkers in case of any issues. All fans are invited to take part in the walk whether the whole distance or maybe from the Red Lion down the hill into Merthyr.

Thanks to everyone who walked from Abercwmboi yesterday to raise funds for Alzheimer's Society. Not the most strenuous walk we've undertaken over the years apart from the stretch from Rhos Wenallt to Pen-yr-Heolgerrig which was very hard work over the uneven ground.

More or less 7 miles from Abercwmboi's John Street Ground to our stadium.
