Former Martyr Kayne McLaggon arrived home6am today from New York and hit a hat-trick for Barry Town to beat Cambrian and Clydach 3-2 in a Welsh Cup televised tie tonight.
Also with the seasiders were ex-Merthyr players Chris Hugh, Robbie Patten and Mo Touray, plus substitute Troy Greening. Manager is ex-Merthyr defender Gavin Chesterfield and one of the coaches is Mike Cosslett, a former Merthyr defender.
Cambrian manager is Dane Williams, who has played in midfield for Merthyr, and Richard French, another Martyr, came on as substitute.
I wish McLaggon was still at Merthyr. The club has lost some good players in recent seasons such as McLaggon,Keyon Reffell, Scott Barrow, Elliott Richards etc.
I wonder how Merthyr would fare if they played Barry Town!

Oh,thanks. I hadn't heard about that. Probably a good move for Davies as Llanelli seem set to go back down to the Welsh League.
So now Barry have Oliver's Army.
