Merthyr Town at Bath City
Merthyr Town representatives travelled to Twerton Park tonight to support their colleagues at Bath City Supporters Trust in a public meeting to gain support for a project to gain community ownership of the Romans.
A packed conference room at the Twerton Park stadium heard speeches from Merthyr Town and Andy Walsh of FC United of Manchester.
A lively debate followed on the subject of fan ownership in connection with Bath City. The final vote on the night concluded with a 2 to 1 victory for the supporters club to pursue its ambitious project to seek community shares to ensure a sustainable future for the club.
Many thanks to everyone at Twerton Park who welcomed us tonight.

BIG BATH CITY BID WILL LAUNCH SHARE SCHEME IN JUNE
From When Saturday Comes, and more details at www.bigbathcitybid.org.uk
Bath City may soon become the latest community-owned club. The Big Bath City Bid Action Group are working with Supporters Direct to
launch their community share scheme in June, hoping to secure the future of the Conference South club and then build on the work
that made them the 2014 community club of the year.
Backed by fans and local businesses, as well as film director Ken Loach, the chair of the bid team Jon Bickley said: "This is an
historic opportunity to revitalise Bath City FC and create a community club that is truly at the heart of the city. With the best of
Bath invested and involved, we can build the football club our city deserves: sustainable, forward-looking and brimming with fresh
ideas and enthusiasm."
